steam.dawg.bot

One identity lens

About steam.dawg.bot

steam.dawg.bot turns public Steam Community records into compact, shareable identity pages. Search by vanity name or permanent SteamID64; no Steam or Dawg sign-in is required.

It runs on the same Dawg identity graph as discord.dawg.bot, github.dawg.bot, and the other platform lenses. The API owns provider collection and identity safety. This frontend only renders stored, normalized records.

What it shows

  • Public persona name, SteamID64, vanity route, summary, avatar, account age, visibility, and standing.
  • Recent playtime and Steam group membership when the Community profile exposes them.
  • Visible cross-platform connections from the Dawg graph.
  • .png image cards and .json normalized responses for resolved profiles.

Why SteamID64 is canonical

Steam vanity names can change. SteamID64 remains the identity anchor. Vanity lookups become durable aliases to /profiles/<steamid64>, so an indexed link cannot quietly become someone else's profile later.
